Microsoft Batch 98 (Batch.exe)

Batch scripts, also called setup scripts, are device information files (.inf) containing text that is used to control configuration options. Windows 98 comes with Microsoft Batch 98 (Batch.exe) to assist in creating setup scripts for use during installation of Windows 98.

Batch.exe can scan the registry and store the system settings in an .inf file that will be specified on the command line during installation. The system settings stored in the .inf file can also be selected manually, or a combination of scanning the registry and manual selection can be used.
