Other commonly seen TLD’s are com, edu, gov, org and also country codes such as uk.
Commercial companies use the com TLD.
The government uses the gov TLD.
Universities use the edu TLD.
The organisation responsible for adding new TLD’s is the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) located at
www.iana.org .
